Ikigai (Hektor Garcia & Francesc Miralles)
Ikigai (raison d’etre) is the life’s purpose. My Ikigai could center on a craft, sport or job. I don’t necessarily have one Ikigai.
Okinawans emphasize that one should not become obsessed with finding one’s ikigai. Instead, one should occupy oneself with doing what one loves in the company of people we love and care about us. Nevertheless, I can use one of the next two methods to identify my Ikigai in a relaxed and focused manner:
Logo-therapy ( created by Viktor Frankl): negative feeling are actually the desire for a meaningful life.
Moritw therapy
Find and create FLOW
10 rules of Ikigai:
don’t retire
Take it slow: when you leave urgency behind time and life take on new meaning
Eat well and don’t overeat (Hara hachi bu)
Surround yourself with good friends: Friends are the best medicine, there for confiding worries over a good chat, sharing stories that brightens your day, getting advice, having fun…in other words living.
Get in shape for your next birthday: the body I am in needs a a boot of daily maintenance to keep it running for a long time and in a good way.Plus, excercise releases hormones that makes us feel happy.
smile: keep a cheerful attitude. We should never forget what a privilege it is to be in the here and now in a world so full of possibilities
Reconnect with nature:
Give thanks: to my ancestors, to nature, which provides me with air and food, to my friends and family to everything that brightens my days and make me feel lucky to be alive. I will start giving thanks every day and I will watch my stockpile of happiness grow.
Live in the moment: Stop regretting the past ams worrying about the future. Today is all you have. make the most of it. Make it worth remembering
Follow your Ikigai: there is a passion inside of me, a unique talent that hovers meaning to my days and drives me to skate the best of my self until the very end. If don’t know my Ikigai yet, mission should be to find it..
